ROSE BOWL INSTITUTE TO HOST 3RD ANNUAL WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT SYMPOSIUM

PASADENA, Calif. (September 20, 2021) – The Rose Bowl Institute announced the scheduling of its third annual Women’s Empowerment Symposium to be held on September 29th, 30th & October 1st on the Institute’s virtual platform and on YouTube. The Symposium will give high school and college students exposure to top female industry leaders from finance, politics, sports, entertainment, and technology on societal and cultural topics.

ROSE BOWL INSTITUTE & RISE PARTNER ON COAST-TO-COAST CRITICAL CONVERSATION

PASADENA, Calif. (August 30, 2021) – The Rose Bowl Institute and national social justice
nonprofit RISE is partnering to present their first bicoastal critical conversation around the
theme of “Sportsmanship as Citizenship.” The event will air from two locations – the iconic Rose
Bowl Stadium in Pasadena and the ESPN Seaport District Studios in New York at the foot of the
Brooklyn Bridge.

ROSE BOWL INSTITUTE AWARDS ITS INAUGURAL ROSI AWARD

PASADENA, Calif. (April 16, 2021) – At the annual Turkey Tussle high school football game on April 16, the Rose Bowl Institute announced the awarding of its first Rose Bowl Sportsmanship Initiative (ROSI) award to Ahmad Jolley from Pasadena High School for outstanding sportsmanship during the game. Jolley was the selection for the award for exemplifying what it means to be a good sport and what it means to enjoy the game with respect for others.

ROSE BOWL INSTITUTE PRESENTS RACE AND SPORTS: COLLECTIVE ATHLETE ACTIVISM

PASADENA, Calif. (April 5, 2021) – The Rose Bowl Institute announced today that it will air its next Race
and Sports program titled Collective Athlete Activism on Jackie Robinson Day, Thursday, April 15, 2021
at 1:00 PM PST/ 4:00 PM EST. Collective Athlete Activism is the third in the series of Dialogues on Race
and Sports, begun in 2020, dedicated to former Pasadena resident and civil rights pioneer Jackie
Robinson. The program will be available for free viewing due to the generous contributions of private
donors.

ROSE BOWL INSTITUTE AWARDS ITS INAUGURAL ROSI SCHOLARSHIPS

PASADENA, Calif. (September 21, 2020) – The Rose Bowl Institute hosted its second annual Women’s Empowerment Symposium on September 16th, 17th & 18th on the Institute’s virtual platform. The free Symposium provided more than 1,100 pre-registered high school and college students exposure to top female industry leaders from finance, politics, sports, entertainment, and technology on societal and cultural topics, health, and other themes of vital interest to youth.
