Overview

The Rose Bowl Institute, in partnership with the Christina Mauser Foundation, is proud to offer scholarship opportunities for graduating senior female student-athletes who exemplify leadership, character, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

Scholarship awards are granted annually, with recipients selected based on merit and alignment with Christina Mauser’s core values—courage, resilience, integrity, and service.

Scholarship Awards for Senior Female Student Athlete – NOW OPEN

Coaches and/or teachers are invited to nominate one student-athlete using the criteria below. The Christina Mauser Foundation will select recipient(s) from the pool of nominees.

2021 - Inaugural Christina Mauser Scholarship: Awarded to local female athlete to Christina’s high school in Huntington Beach - Sam Parcel

Application Requirements

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a graduating high school senior female student-athlete
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, character, and community involvement
  • Plan to pursue higher education

To apply, coaches and/or teachers must submit:

  • A completed application form
  • One letter of recommendation from a teacher and/or coach highlighting the applicant’s character, leadership, and impact

Nominees should embody Christina’s spirit and values, including organization, hard work, leadership, humility, and empathy.


The Christina Mauser Foundation will select each award recipient based on the following criteria:

  • Sportsmanship (respect coaches, officials, opponents, teammates)
  • Commitment (toward practices, games and continued improvement)
  • Honesty (playing by rules, character)
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for their sport both on and off the field/court
  • Toughness (both mental and physical)
  • Work Ethic
  • Teamwork
  • Leadership
  • Focus and Discipline
  • Perseverance (overcoming challenges)

  • Recipients Announced: June 2026

Applicants will be notified following the review process. Scholarship distribution details will be shared with selected recipients.
