Rose Bowl Institute To Host 5th Annual Women’s Empowerment Networking Luncheon

Mar 26, 2026

PASADENA, Calif. (March 26, 2026) More than 500 high school and college students are expected to gather once again at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium on April 28th for the Rose Bowl Institute’s 5th annual Women’s Empowerment Networking Luncheon. The free event brings together students and influential community leaders for a day of mentorship, networking, and career exploration.

Now in its fifth year, the luncheon has become a signature program of the Rose Bowl Institute, connecting students with accomplished female leaders through conversations focused on character, resilience, and career pathways. Since its launch, the event has created opportunities for more than 3,000 students to engage with women leaders and professionals working across the sports industry and beyond.

A featured highlight of the program will be the “Women Changing the Game” panel. The conversation will explore the continued growth of women’s sports and the leaders helping drive its momentum both on and off the field. Panelists will share personal journeys, pivotal career moments, and perspectives on how increased visibility, investment, technology, and community support are transforming opportunities for women.

The event will also include a live chalk talk session with Bonnie Bernstein, RBI Advisory Board Member and Founder & CEO of Walk Swiftly Productions, whose distinguished career includes serving as a national correspondent for ESPN and ABC, and Vanessa Wallace, former Senior Vice President at Nike. The session will offer practical insights and inspiration for students navigating their academic and professional journeys.

The event will also feature Resource Row, an interactive area where students can connect with local businesses, higher education institutions, and community organizations. The space will provide attendees with information on academic programs, career pathways, internships, and mentorship opportunities designed to support their future career goals.

“We are proud to create spaces where young people can learn directly from women who are leading and innovating across the sports landscape,” said James Washington, President of the Rose Bowl Institute. “This luncheon reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation with the confidence, tools, and connections needed to pursue their goals and make meaningful contributions in their communities.”

Throughout the program, attendees will gain exposure to leadership principles, career insights, and mentorship opportunities that support personal growth and future success. By bringing together students and accomplished professionals in an iconic setting, the Rose Bowl Institute continues to leverage the power of sport as a platform for education and community impact.

The Women’s Empowerment Networking Luncheon is free and open to high school and college students, educators, and community members.
